Create a guest list- start by creating a guest list. Considering the comfort factor, decide on the number of people you can accommodate in your house. Once you have fixed on a number then write down the names of the invitees. This way, you will have your guest list ready.
Sending out the invitations- send out the invitations in a fun way. What you could do is, make your own handmade invitation cards, send them across and then personally call up your friends inviting them to the party.
Food & drinks-decide on the hors d'oeuvres and beverages you want to serve to your guests. On the other hand, ask each one of your friends to get a particular dish for dinner. This way you could be at ease and do not have to worry about dinner while your guests are enjoying.
Dress code- keeping a dress code for the party would be some real fun. You certainly do not want your friends to turn up in their pajamas. So keep the dress code formal evening wear or you could also stick to a particular theme.
Decorate- decorate your house with balloons, streamers and confetti. Don't just keep the interiors boring rather try to create a mood of celebration.
Music- decide on the music, let there be good music playing in the background. You can also aim at having karaoke sessions.
